A container jug made in 3D printing has been designed for Iztueta, a milk company, inspired by its tradition of the farmhouse and its high quality products, which take care of the feeding of cows.
Jug made in 3D printing, container of fresh milk bags
A 3D-printed container jug was designed for Iztueta, a small milk producer based in Lazkao, in the north of Spain. Conceived as a merchandising object to hold milk bags, the project responded to the need for a very limited production while ensuring proper usability in catering environments.
Although initially focused on traditional forms and Slow Design values linked to four generations of dairy production, the final concept aimed to communicate Iztueta’s innovative spirit. The company combines strong ties to the land and sustainable practices with advanced technology, such as robotic milking systems. For this reason, 3D printing was chosen, as it allows small-scale production, reduced investment, and a contemporary identity.
The jug’s form reinterprets traditional Basque milk containers through updated, sinuous lines that enhance ergonomics and functionality. Its shape facilitates a comfortable grip and allows the milk bag to empty naturally by gravity, preventing spills when serving.
